Terms of use
Last updated 27 October 2026
These terms apply when you use CUTS, a barber booking app operated by Marcus Haddad in Sydney, Australia. By using CUTS you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
What CUTS does
CUTS connects customers with independent barbers and barbershops. Barbers set their own services, prices and hours and are responsible for the cuts they provide. CUTS checks every barber's business registration and ID before they can take bookings.
Your account
You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code we text you. Keep your phone secure, and give us accurate details. You must be 16 or older to book, or have a parent or guardian book for you.
Bookings and prices
- You see the barber's price, any driving fee and the CUTS service fee before you confirm.
- Tips go in full to your barber.
- Cancelling more than 24 hours before a booking is free. Late cancellations and no-shows can cost a fee, which the app shows you before you cancel.
- If a barber cancels late or doesn't turn up, you get a full refund and app credit.
Reliability
CUTS keeps a reliability score for customers and barbers, based on kept, cancelled and missed bookings. A low score can mean paying when you book. You can dispute a late or no-show mark within 48 hours in the app.
Being respectful
Treat barbers and customers with respect. We can suspend accounts for abuse, fraud, unsafe behaviour or repeated no-shows.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, CUTS isn't responsible for the services barbers provide or for loss that isn't caused by us. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law still apply.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app about important changes. Questions: hello@getcutsapp.com. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
